Donations

The best way to make a difference is by making a monetary donation.

MONETARY DONATIONS:

With every dollar, Socks can multiply the impact your kindness has in the Austin community. Scroll to our financial transparency page tab below for more specific information about how our organization spends its donations.

With the money we receive in donations, we buy items in bulk such as socks, underwear, feminine hygiene products, and hand sanitizer, etc.

We accept donations through PayPal, Venmo at @socksforthesole, or you can contact us at fundraising@txsocksforthesole.org

Sorry, we are not currently accepting sock donations at this time as we are moving to a new building. All information related to in-kind donations is available for you to keep us in mind! IN-KIND DONATIONS:

Socks are kind of our thing, but we kindly accept many other kinds of donations.

During our Sole Events, we complete surveys with the folks receiving our donations and ask them about the items they need most. Below are suggestions on what can be donated. We emphasize providing under-donated items, but there are many new and gently used items that can be very helpful. We encourage you to take stock of things you use in your everyday life and consider donating items that you may not need anymore.​​

Simple things like reusable shopping bags, underwear, hand sanitizer, nail clippers, feminine hygiene products, hats and gloves, rain gear, and bus passes are everyday items that many of us take for granted that can have a huge impact on the lives of people experiencing homelessness. Items like socks and underwear must be donated new for hygiene purposes.

 

We typically like to meet donors with in-kind donations somewhere near UT Campus for your safety and ours. If you'd like to ship us donations from out of town, please refer to our address on the "contact us" page.
